Like brainstorming, only with malice - the process of a group of people (usually in a work context) deciding who is going to be allocated with the responsibility for a particular disaster (usually without fair basis)

after the nuclear power plant blew up, the team naturally did some urgent blamestorming and before the day was over, were able to report to the CEO that it was Frank's mistake that caused the meltdown.
