A thing which has all the ingredients that ought to make it a favourite thing, but inexplicably doesn't. (Or a thing which you want to like, and even affect to like, but deep down just lack the enthusiasm.)

Blackadder Back and Forth - dunno what went wrong, but it was a bit of a favouroid.
