1) Aussie kangaroo hunting slang: to have the front seat of the ute (and not have to rough it on the back). Or, to have first shot at whatever chosen target.

I shotgun the cute blonde at the bar.

2) To claim rights to an object or service over anyone else. Once something has been shotgunned, it is not possible for that right to be overruled. Shortened version: gun, gunned, gunning.
